Meg Mackay, 68, Ursuline School Teacher

RYE, N.Y. – Meg Mackay, a 22-year resident of Rye, died Oct. 9. She was 68. 

Mackay was born May 10, 1944, in Sydney, Australia to Brian Whelan and Dympna Hickey Whelan. She worked as a teacher at the Ursuline School in New Rochelle for more than 20 years. She married Ken Mackay on May 6, 1972. 

She is survived by her husband, Ken; four children, Claire Neary, Jon, Anna and Julian Mackay; and seven grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Graham Funeral Home in Rye. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Resurrection. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, c/o Dennis Chillemi, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., Suite 130, White Plains, NY 10605.
