NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Marie T. Murray, a longtime resident of New Rochelle and Somers, died Nov. 6. She was 93.
Murray was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Yonkers, to Leo and Catharine (Madden) Tully and grew up in Bronxville. She was a graduate of The College of New Rochelle. She served in the Altar Guild at Holy Family Church during her years in New Rochelle and was a member of Wykagyl Country Club and Winged Foot Golf Club. Murray is survived by her children, Richard, Catharine (John) Ryan, Barbara (Frank) Walsh, Robert C. Murray, Ann (Robert) O’Connor, Patricia (David) Libardi, Neil (Patricia) Murray, Eileen Spillane, Marilyn (Robert) Montay and Daniel (Lisa) Murray; 25 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and brothers, William and Paul Tully. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Robert C. Murray; brother Leo Tully; and daughter-in-law, Ada (Rie) Mudd Murray. Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
