NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Maria I. Petriello, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died March 12. She was 79.
Petriello was born on April 29, 1933, to Rocco and Incoronata (Macchia) Grande in Guardia Lombardi, Italy.
Petriello is survived by her husband, Rocco; children, Pasqualina (Angelo) Portanova, Michelina (Mario) Giordano, Adelina (Walter) Arenas, and Giuseppe (Rita) Petriello; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings Antonietta (Vito) Sgobbo and Gerardo Grande. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Carlo Grande
Calling hours will be Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel 16 Shea Place New Rochelle, N.Y. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
