Marcial Calo, 86, Longtime New Rochelle Resident

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Marcial Calo, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died Saturday, June 6. He was 86.

Calo  was born May 26, 1929, in Philadelphia to Marcial and Anna (Siclari) Calo.

He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years at R. Parlatto Heating and Air Conditioning.

He is survived by his wife, the former Yolanda Schiavone, whom he married on Oct. 25, 1953; his children, Anna (Louis) Buffalino, Marcial (Joan) Calo, Teresa (Joe) Guido, Leonard (Colleen) Calo, Mary Elizabeth (Robert) Bluze and Joseph Calo; 15 grandsons, Keith, Christopher, Blaise, Robert, Matthew, Alex, Joseph, John, Marc, Mark, Eric, Jon, Neil, Wil, Brady and Michael; his granddaughters, Brittany and Leah; his great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Grace; his brothers, John Calo and Peter Sileo; and his sister, Beatrice Bologna.

Visiting will be Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Interment will be private.
