Galdi was born Dec. 23, 1931, to Rosalie and Gueseppe Taormina. She graduated from Fordham University. She was a business owner, interior decorator, community volunteer, student of the Italian language, and a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Scarsdale.
Galdi is survived by her husband, Francis; daughters, Victoria (Anthony) Ruffino, Roseanne (John) Guido, and Lisa; seven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 17 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Road, Scarsdale. Interment at the Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd., Woodside.
