NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. Kathleen A. Calabro, a lifelong New Rochelle resident, died Sept. 20 at her home, surrounded by her children and close family. She was 68.
Calabro was born Sept. 22, 1943, in New Rochelle to Hubert and Norah McAuley McKenna. She worked as a teachers' aide at Jefferson School for almost 30 years. She was married to Joseph Calabro.
She is survived by three children, Paul (Christina) Calabro, Nicole Calabro and Daniele Calabro; a brother, Gerald McKenna; two sisters, Sandra Paolucci and Sharon Porzio; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband predeceased her.
Visitation was Sunday at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at Holy Name Church in New Rochelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows, Children's Fund or Autism Speaks.
