NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Katherine "Kitty" Georgio, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Saturday, April 25. She was 88.
Georgio was born on Feb. 8, 1927, in New Rochelle to Philip and Angelina (nee Nole) Carino. She worked at Salesian Missions in New Rochelle.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Christopher, and her granddaughter Danielle. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Summa; her son, Ronald Georgio; five grandchildren, Lisa, Carrie, Gina, Ronald II and Stephen; five great-grandchildren, Ana, Matthew, Amanda, Mikayla and Angelina; her brother, Philip Carino; and her sister, Grace Della Badia.
Visiting hours were scheduled for Monday, April 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle.
A funeral Mass is set for Tuesday, April 28, at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Name Church.
Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
