Jean O'Neill, 84, Longtime New Rochelle Resident

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Jean O'Neill, a longtime New Rochelle resident, died Sept. 1. She was 84. 

O'Neill was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Bronx, N.Y., to James Lawrence and Gertrude Daly O'Neill. She worked as a nurse at Doctor's Hospital in New York City for many years. O'Neill was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle.  

She is survived by a sister, Helen O'Neill; a nephew, Vincent Rella; and several other nieces and nephews. 

Visiting hours are from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
