NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Janet Anne Guarasci of New Rochelle died Wednesday, Dec. 3. She was 62.
Guarasci was born Aug. 11, 1952, in the Bronx, to Joseph and Eleanor Guarasci. She was raised in New Rochelle and graduated from St. Gabriel's High School, Iona College and received her nursing degree from the Westchester Community College. She started working for the City of New Rochelle. She has worked for the city for over 40 years and was currently a supervisor for the Parks and Recreation Department.
Guarasci is survived by her sisters, Lynn (Nicholas) Nardi and Lisa (Mark) Melfi; and two nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Holy Family Church. Interment to follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
