NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — James J. Lallas, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Thursday, Feb. 5. He was 77.
He was born Oct 13, 1937, in New Rochelle and is survived by children Michael Lallas, Linda Marie Lallas and James Kevin Lallas; grandchildren Alycia, Melissa and Chelsea; sisters Mary Ann Napoli and Catherine Setford; and longtime companion Rosemarie Gresia.
He was predeceased by son John and parents Jerome and Irene Lallas.
An Exxon Mobil bookkeeper for over 30 years, he served in the Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 8 and the Hugh Doyle Senior Center.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel at 16 Shea Place in New Rochelle, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
