Frank Trossello, 88, Of New Rochelle, Retired Army Veteran

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Frank Trossello Jr., of New Rochelle died Dec. 6. He was 88.

Trossello was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Tottenville, Staten Island, to Frank and Angelina Boano Trossello. He was a resident of New Rochelle for 25 years. He was drafted into the Army in 1943, and was trained in topography and attained the rank of master sergeant and spent most of the 1950s in Germany. In the early 60s, he was assigned to the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam as one of the first U.S. military advisors and retired from the Army in 1966.

Trossello is survived by his sister-in-law, Eileen Trossello; half-siblings, Vincent Trossello and Diane Trossello Courtney and their spouses; two nephews, six nieces; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest Trossello.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hugh Doyle Senior Center of New Rochelle.
