Frank Santoianni, 85, Of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Frank Santoianni, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Sunday, Aug. 12, of cancer. He was 85.

He was born Aug. 12, 1927, in New Rochelle to Frank and Mary Salvatore Santoianni. A master carpenter, Santoianni owned a home improvement company. He was also employed for many years as a shop supervisor for Caruso Lumber.

Santoianni was an avid NASCAR and Formula One fan, and his hobbies included puzzle-making and sophisticated model construction. He is survived by a sister, Lucy (Nicholas) Vaccaro; three nieces; and two nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle. Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel handled arrangements.
