NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Florence M. Zaffino, 101, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Saturday, Jan. 31.
She was born Feb. 24, 1913, to Leonardo and Antoinette Marconi Creaturo.
Zaffino was a member of the New Rochelle Women’s Club and several bridge clubs.
Survivors include one son, Joseph (Gail) Zaffino; one brother, Edward (Sue) Creaturo; one sister, Dorothy Sclafani; her caregiver, Cynthia; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Zaffino; one daughter, Rose Marie Grosso; one son-in-law, Patrick Grosso; and seven brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, New Rochelle, is handling the arrangements.
