Ellen T. Gilbride Of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Ellen 'Eileen' (nee Morrissey) Gilbride, of New Rochelle, died April 10 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Gilbride was born in 1930 in Rathkeale, County Limerick, Ireland, emigrating to the United States as a young woman, initially working as a nanny and eventually as a manager at the College of New Rochelle.

She was predeceased by her husband Andrew.

Gilbride is survived by four children, Cathy Foley and her husband Stephen of Rye, Patricia Davey and her husband Edward of Pelham Manor, Andrew and his wife Jennifer of Westhampton and Eileen Mickas and her husband Kyle of White Plains; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three siblings, Breda, Michael and Thomas of County Limerick, Ireland; a sister, Mary of Surrey, England; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 95 Kings Highway, New Rochelle.
