She worked for many years as a first -grade teacher at Holy Family School in New Rochelle. She was married in 1954 to Frank Woodruff.
Her husband died on Aug. 20, 2015.
She is survived by her brother, James Coughlin and sister, Mary Searle; her daughters, Eileen Boyle Orton (Tom) and Susan Woodruff; her sons,Thomas, Robert (Maura), John (Angela) and Gary (Caroline) Woodruff; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 83 Clove Road, New Rochelle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Church.
