NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Edward (Ted) F. Cowles Jr., a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died Friday, June 5, at the Schaffer Extended Care Center.
Cowles was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Port Chester to Edward and Mable (nee Comstock) Cowles.
He graduated from Port Chester High School and Columbia University. He was a McGraw Hill proofreader until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Russell and Douglas.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 10, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the George Davis Funeral Home with funeral services to follow.
Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
