NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Carolina Tedone of New Rochelle died Saturday, Dec. 21. She was 88.
Tedone was born May 12, 1925, in Forli, Italy, to Fioravante and Albina Bizzarro. She travelled all over Europe, Africa, and The Middle East with her family performing as a famous contortionist and acrobat. She married Gaetano Thomas Tedone in 1948 in Naples, Italy and moved to New Rochelle. She resided there for the rest of her life.
Tedone is survived by her children, Eleanor, Luigi, and Tommy; and 10 grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Dec. 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place. New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle. Entombment will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery, following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization or to Calvary Hospital.
