Anthony Ariganello, 78, Longtime New Rochelle Resident, Army Veteran

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Anthony “Pigeon” Ariganello, a longtime New Rochelle resident, died June 23. He was 78.

Ariganello was born May 31, 1936, in New Rochelle, to Salvatore and Mary (Mamona) Ariganello. He was an Army Veteran and was the co-owner of The Fisherman’s Net in Pelham for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Larchmont Post.

Ariganello is survived by his siblings, Salvatore Ariganello, Joseph Ariganello, Dorothy Grosso, Cathy Ariganello, and Dolores Pappalardi; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and wife, Roberta Scott.

Calling hours are Thursday, June 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 27 at the Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
