Anne P. Grassi, 96, Longtime New Rochelle Resident

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Anne P. Grassi, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on Tuesday, March 8. She was 96.

Born in the Bronx, Grassi was an elementary school art teacher for the Mount Vernon Public Schools for over 20 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean, Florence and Diane Grassi, and her brother, Anthony Plasmati. She was predeceased by her husband, Anzo, and her parents, Biagio and Rita (Calculli) Plasmati.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl., in New Rochelle. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, in Rye.
