He was born on May 6, 1931, in New Rochelle, to Emilio Raffio and Carmellia Raffio Spalleno.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Raffio worked for the Ursuline School of New Rochelle for many years. After nearly a lifetime in New Rochelle, he retired in Delaware.
Raffio is survived by sons Emil Raffio of Delaware, Michael Raffio of Connecticut and John Raffio of Florida; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife, Clara Guadagnoli Raffio; and a son, Alfred Raffio Jr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
