NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Adelaide R. Nilsen, a longtime New Rochelle resident, died Aug. 27. She was 86.
Nilsen was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Puerto Rico. She worked for many years at Citibank.
She is survived by a niece; and a grandniece; cousins; and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Sverre.
Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at at Holy Name Church, Petersville Road, New Rochelle. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
