NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A family yoga event will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Thursday on the New Rochelle Public Library green in conjunction with the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District, City of New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation and Westchester Yoga Arts.
"I am thrilled to be able to offer a free community yoga event in my home town for a third year in a row,” said Westchester Yoga Arts certified restorative yoga instructor Nancy Dunngallin in an e-mail. “Yoga on the Green is the fruition of my vision to practice yoga outside and make it available to everyone. It was an effort supported by many people, and to them I am most grateful.”
Those interested must be 15 years or older to participate. A yoga mat is also recommended. Music will be provided by The Whispering Tree.
In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for June 21 from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
