The check was a donation from 5 percent days held by Whole Foods on June 24, 2015. Five percent day is when 5 percent of the net sales were donated to HFHWC. Whole Foods stores throughout Westchester were involved, including White Plains, Port Chester and Yonkers.

“This is a great help to our growing food, and green initiatives; solar on our homes, which is part of our healthy homes, healthy hoods initiative,” said Jim Killoran, CEO of HFHWC.
