White Plains Hospital Celebrates Cancer Survivors

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- More 270 cancer survivors, guests and hospital staff gathered at the annual White Plains Hospital Cancer Survivors Day celebration at the Crowne Plaza Hotel this past Sunday.

The hospital has held the annual celebration since the 1990’s, coinciding with National Cancer Survivors Day as a way to recognize and connect with patients and family members who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.

Lymphoma survivor Karen “Toby” Haghenbeck was awarded guest of honor by White Plains Hospital and Cancer Program leaders in recognition of her struggle with the illness.
