What's Happening In New Rochelle This Weekend

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The farmers' market on the New Rochelle Library green and open air yoga are some of the events planned for the weekend.

Friday, June 29

New Rochelle Farmers' Market: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The annual farmers' market kicks off its fourth year. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. Customers can see cooking demonstrations, and there will also be activities for kids and music. New Rochelle Public Library Green, One Library Plaza.

Senior Benefits Information Center: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Assistance offered in identifying benefits, such as Medicare health and prescription programs, food stamps, HEAP, EPIC, weatherization, minor home repairs, tax-relief programs and other programs. Trained volunteers provide free, confidential, one-on-one counseling and access to print and online materials. BTOP Help Center, second floor. New Rochelle Public Library, One Library Plaza.

Saturday, June 30

Open Air Yoga on the cliff: Certified yoga instructor Nancy Dunngallin teaches this seven-session event near the waters of Long Island Sound. Rates are available at $100 a package or $20 per person on a drop-in basis. Wildcliff Manor, 44 Wildcliff Road, New Rochelle.
