NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. Here are some activities taking place in the area this weekend.
- The Friends of the New Rochelle Book Store is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first floor of the New Rochelle Public Library.
- Singer, songwriter and entertainer Zev Haber performs live Friday at 11 a.m. in the Ossie Davis Theater.
- Concordia Conservatory of Music and Art faculty members flutist Clare Hoffman and storyteller Renee Redmond perform books Fire! Fire! Hurry! Hurry! by Andrea Zimmerman, and Officer Buckle and Gloria by Peggy Rathmann, in a Community Heroes A Musical Adventure Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ossie Davis Theater.
- A play reading by C.J. Ehrlich and Philip J. Kaplan entitled The Cupcake Conspiracy, is held at the PAC House Theater Saturday at 3 p.m. RSVP is required to the free event.
