NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Are you searching for activities on the weekend? Here are some options.

New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District Family Day entitled "BID Family Day Magic and Comedy with Jim McClenahan" is on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the Ossie Davis Theater at the New Rochelle Public Library. 

- A League of Women Voters Coffee and Conversation with David Peters and Stephanie Tomei will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the meeting room of the New Rochelle Public Library. New Rochelle Art Association President Jesse Sanchez will discuss artists’ civic projects.

- Professor Eric Jennings is hosting a Sunday Afternoon Music Program on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jennings will discuss composers Franz Lehar, Kurt Weill and Erich Korngold. A donation of $2 is suggested at the door. This program is made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library. 

- A party showcase for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16's, Parties, or weddings is held Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Beth El Synagogue Center. The free event features many vendors. Register online at partyshowcases.com.
