According to police, shortly after 3:30 a.m. on April 4, freshman Khalil Burns and sophomore Rudolph Henriquez allegedly fired a weapon out of a vehicle while driving along Lincoln Avenue.

Following a brief investigation by police over that weekend, the two New Jersey natives were tracked down and arrested on April 7.

Burns was charged with felony charges of assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon. Henriquez was charged with felony counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, as well as a misdemeanor count of criminal facilitation.

According to a News12 report, Burns is being held in Valhalla without bail, while Henriquez’s bail was set at $50,000.

The now suspended players had an impact on the field for the Mustangs last season. In seven games, Henriquez, a wide receiver, caught 25 passes for more than 400 yards and eight touchdowns. Burns, playing his first collegiate season at safety, amassed 16 tackles with an interception and fumble recovery.
