NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle Public Library is inviting residents to an open town meeting in February to discuss how the library can improve in the future.

The library is hosting the discussion as a step in the process of a five-year strategic plan. The town meeting is set to take place at 7 p.m., Feb. 3, at the New Rochelle Public Library, which is between Lawton Street and Memorial Highway.

Library Development Solutions of Princeton, N.J., is set to facilitate the hour-long meeting. Representatives said patrons will have the opportunity to discuss ways the library can improve services, collections, policies and the facility.

"Residents who are frequent or infrequent library users are encouraged to participate,” said Library Director Tom Geoffino. “This is an important process that will help guide a bright future for the library and the greater community. Maximum public participation will ensure a relevant and realistic plan.”

Residents may also provide input through a 13-question survey that can be completed on the library’s website .
