State Bond Act On The Ballot Includes Funds For New Rochelle Schools

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- If approved by voters on Nov. 4, the third proposal of the Smart Schools Bond Act, endorsed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, would give the City School District of New Rochelle more than $3.5 million in funding to help students thrive in the economy of today and tomorrow.

The proposed funding would help school districts to purchase technology equipment such as interactive whiteboards and computers; install high-speed wireless internet connectivity in schools and communities; construct and modernize educational facilities and install high-tech security features in school buildings and on school campuses.
