The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 79-year-old Nathaniel Sims, who has moved from Yonkers to an apartment on May Street in New Rochelle.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Sims as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Sims had sexual intercourse and unlawfully imprisoned his victim in December 1977 and he was convicted of first-degree rape the following August and sentenced to a term of between 150 months and 25 years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the New Rochelle City Police Department.
