The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 49-year-old Robert Harper, who has moved from New Rochelle to a residence on South Broadway in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Harper as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Harper had deviate sexual intercourse with a 5-year-old girl in August 1999 and he was convicted of first-degree rape in May the following year and sentenced to a term of between one day and five years in state prison.
