The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 38-year-old Douglas Krakie, who has moved to an apartment on Cooper Drive in New Rochelle.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Krakie a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Krakie had sexual intercourse and contact with a 14-year-old girl in New Rochelle in 2003. He was convicted of second-degree rape the following year and sentenced to a term of between two and six years in state prison. He remains under the jurisdiction of the New Rochelle City Police Department.
