NEW ROCHELLE-- New Rochellle residents planning out their week can check here for a look at some of the things going on in the city.

The Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the City Hall Annex.

The Industrial Development Agency meets Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in city hall conference room B-1.

The P.L.A.Y. Program will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. at Columbus Elementary School Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Two middle school talent shows will be held on Thursday and Friday at 1 p.m. Isaac E. Young Middle School will be the show place Thursday with Albert Leonard Middle School housing the second show.

The New Rochelle Opera will be in Hudson Park on Wednesday at 7 p.m. playing favorite selections from opera, operetta, and broadway as part of the Emil Paolucci Summer Concert Series.

Samba Dance lessons will be offered on the library green Thursday at 6 p.m. with the Nanny Assis Trio performing at 7 p.m.

The farmer's market once again comes to town Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Later that night there will be “Yoga on the Green,” sponsored by Westchester Yoga Arts. Two classes are offered – 6 to 7 p.m. and 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

The Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center will have a Hawaiian Luau in celebration of their 40th Anniversary Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Attendees can then view the Holiday Lighted Boats Parade in recognition of public parks from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The boats will start at the Municipal Marina and travel past Hudson Park concluding at Glen Island. The event can be seen at Hudson and Neptune Parks.
