Bramson and County Executive Robert Astorino both attended an issues forum held by the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund at Pace Law School on Monday, though both attended the event and answered questions they were there at different times, LoHud.com reported.

Bramson's stance was that a nuclear facility should have never been built a densely populated area. Astorino, on the other hand supports renewing the licensing of the two plants. One unit's license is set to expire at the end of this year while the other expires at the end of 2015, according to LoHud.com.

Bramson felt the area should derive more energy from hydroelectric sources. Astorino supported the nuclear facility by praising its safety record, LoHud.com reported.
