New Rochelle's Glen Island Park Closed By Flooding

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Major flooding was reported at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle Monday afternoon because of Hurricane Sandy.

Glen Island Park and all other county parks are closed, Westchester officials said.

Police officers are turning away residents who attempt to enter the park, the county said.

County officials are asking the public to stay away from the park and urging people to stay indoors for their safety.
