New Rochelle Voters League Hosts Candidate Forum

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The League of Women Voters of Women of New Rochelle is hosting a candidate forum for candidates running for the New Rochelle Board of Education and New Rochelle Public Library Board of Trustees. It will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Ossie Davis Auditorium of the library.

Incumbents are running unopposed for all four seats; David Lacher and Chrisanne Petrone for the two school board seats, and Haina Just-Michael and Bernardo Nunez for the two library board seats. Nunez had been appointed midterm to fill a vacancy, the league said.

Candidates will answer questions from the audience about the school and library budgets as well as other issues.

The election is set for May 15. A vote on the budgets for both the school district and the library will also be on the ballot.
