NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Radisson Hotel New Rochelle's restaurant, formerly the City Chow House, has been changed to a new Mediterranean-style restaurant called NoMa Social.

“We’re just happy to have something new for the community,” said NoMa Social food and beverage director, interior designer and project manager Colby Brock.

The change was part of the hotel’s interest to remodel and renovate the building.

The makeover of the restaurant is part of the $2 million in improvements done the past year to make the hotel into a Manhattan boutique-style hotel, a press release said.

Tuesday marked the official opening of the restaurant after it unofficially opened its doors two weeks ago.

City and county officials, New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, hotel staff and other members of the community were on hand for Tuesday's ribbon cutting ceremony.

George Oros, chief of staff to County Executive Rob Astorino, said the new addition is a good one to the community.

“This is a great contribution to the city of New Rochelle,” he said. “This is so important to the vitality of our community."
