Patrols have been increased in the neighborhood as police continue investigating at least five home robberies, several of which have occurred in broad daylight after the burglars have broken windows and sliding glass doors to gain access to homes.
This isn’t the first time that Larchmont Woods residents have been victimized by burglars. According to Kelly Chubet, a concerned citizen that lives in the neighborhood, over the summer, as many as 10 cars – including her own - were broken into and change was stolen.
The police investigation is ongoing. Residents have been advised to ensure that their homes and vehicles are properly locked and secure, even during the day.
