New Rochelle Police Investigating Burglary

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The New Rochelle Police Department is investigating a burglary late Thursday morning at 211 Clinton Ave., said police Capt. and Public Information Officer Joseph Schaller.

Police are still trying to figure out all that was taken when the house was ransacked, but report that an Apple iPad, Yankee medallion and Yankee gold ring were missing after the incident, Schaller said.

The department was called to the scene at noon by a relative of the homeowner, who was babysitting, when she heard someone in the residence and saw a 5-foot, 4-inch male wearing a gray jacket run out the front door of the home. The suspect then went northbound on Clinton Avenue, she said.

As she was watching the man, the woman also saw another man, standing 5 feet tall and wearing a maroon-and-tan jacket, flee northbound on the same street.
