New Rochelle Police Department Explorer Program Applications are being accepted through Aug 5.

The program focuses on young men and women, ages 14 to 20, who have completed the eighth grade in good academic standing and who are interested in careers in law enforcement.
Explorer Cadets are exposed to all aspects of law enforcement and gain a valuable knowledge of police functions. Detectives Terrence Fudge and Brianne Smith are post advisors for the program.
Weekly meetings take place every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. with an occasional field trip or special event taking the place of the gathering.
