New Rochelle Library Series Features Chinese Dance

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- A slew of traditional dance pieces deriving from many different areas of China will be performed at 7 p.m. July 31 by the New York Chinese Cultural Center.

This will take place at the Ossie Davis Theater and is part of New Rochelle Public Library's 29th Annual International Music and Dance series. Dancers will be dressed in full traditional costumes and perform Chinese Patterns, a unique program that incorporates the Ribbon Dance, Sword Dance, Tibetan Dance and more.

The New York Chinese Cultural Center  was founded in 1974 and is dedicated to enriching an understanding of Chinese cultural in local communities.

Admission is free and will be limited on a first-come, first-served basis.
