Rubino, vice president of government relations at New York Berkeley College, was presented with the award by New Rochelle Chamber Executive Direction Eli Gordon. Rubino is also a member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
Other women who were honored included Karenann Carty, associate vice president of academic affairs at Monroe College, and Diane C. Massimo, assistant superintendent of the City School District of New Rochelle.
Additionaly, the Muriel Zaukas Young Leader of Tomorrow award winners were Leah Genevieve Siesfeld and Catherine “Cassie” White, both of New Rochelle High School.
Each year the New Rochelle Chamber recognizes women who have made a difference in the New Rochelle community, and this year’s awards selected women in education, a press release said.
