Man Assaulted While Leaving New Rochelle Station

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - A 59-year-old was kicked and punched to the ground by an individual outside 54 North Ave. early Sunday morning sending him to Sound Shore Medical Center, according to New Rochelle Police Department Capt. Joseph Schaller.

The man was walking home from the New Rochelle Train Station when he was hit with a cup of water thrown by a group of individuals, spurring the incident, police said.

The individual was able to escape the scene.

An EZ-Pass was taken Sunday from a New Rochelle resident’s unlocked 2000 Ford parked at 12 Beattie Lane.

The 2008 T-700 tractor trailer truck being driven by a New Jersey resident was taken from the parking lot of the Radisson Hotel New Rochelle, One Radisson Plaza, between Thursday and Saturday.

A $300 Play Station, $300 LCD TV and a surround sound receiver valued at $1,500 were taken in a burglary at 442 North Ave. through an unlocked door sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday while the occupant was away.

An Mac Apple Laptop, Dell Laptop and an XBOX game system were reported taken Friday from 77 Coligini Avenue between Wednesday and Thursday in a similar situation.

A flat screen TV and marine radio, both valued at $350, reportedly were taken from an unlocked boat at a boat yard at Two Town Dock Road.
