Man Accused of Exit Ramp Shooting Returns to New Rochelle City Court

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Christopher Velez was in New Rochelle City Court Wednesday after being charged for attempted murder for shooting at two people in a motor vehicle with an unknown caliber weapon on an I-95 exit ramp early Saturday, according to information from New York State Police Troop K.

Velez returns to court Monday according to city court Chief Clerk James Generoso.

Several shots were fired sending the victims to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Velez was arraigned in court Tuesday, and is currently in Westchester County Jail with no bail. Police are continuing the investigation, and expect further arrests.
