Man, 24, Killed In Sprain Brook Parkway One-Car Crash ID'd

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old Queens man was killed after suffering internal injuries in an automobile accident on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers late Sunday morning, New York State Police said.

At approximately 11 a.m., police responded to a one-car personal injury automobile accident on the Sprain near the Jackson Avenue exit in Yonkers. 

Investigation revealed the vehicle operator, Kuldeep Reehal, from Bellerose in Queens, was traveling northbound on the Sprain when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway over the shoulder.

Reehal's vehicle then traveled through the guide rail before coming to rest, police said. Reehal sustained internal injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

Reehal later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the Westchester Medical Center.

State Police were assisted with the investigation by Yonkers Police Department and Yonkers Fire Department.
