NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - An investigation has been launched by law enforcement agencies after mail was reportedly found discarded in a dumpster behind the New Rochelle Post Office.
According to multiple reports , hundreds of pieces of mail were discovered in a dumpster behind the post office, leading to complaints and an investigation into the discarded mail. Evidence was first recovered by Talk of the Sound last week.
The United States Postal Inspection Service Office is now investigating the incident. Officials at the New Rochelle Post Office did not respond to inquiries on Monday morning. Anyone who has had issues with their mail have been told to contact officials by calling 1-800-ASK-USPS (275-8777).
