NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Hudson Park Beach in New Rochelle opened Saturday for the summer after completing repairs from Superstorm Sandy over the last few months.
Repairs were made to the seawall, stairs and restricted sun deck at Hudson Park, as well as seawall replacement and repairs on Harrison Island at Five Islands Park.
Hudson Park, open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and will begin a full schedule on Monday, June 24. The park amenities include a beach bar concession with a tented food court area, cameo playground, new picnic shelter, music bandshell, seating areas and ample parking, according to a press release.
Parking fees are $3 per day. Beach fees include $5 for visitors with an Omnicard. People with a Family Omnicard and Omnicard Plus can visit the park for free. A one-day pass is $10.
