Habitat For Humanity Celebrates Earth Week In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Habitat for Humanity of Westchester will celebrate Earth Week with a series of donations and projects.

In addition to donating bike racks to New Rochelle High School, Habitat of Westchester will also create a Bike New Rochelle committee. 

They will also encourage the creation of a Bike Boston Post Road annual day. 

The organization will also announce its creation of Passive House construction in Chappaqua and Millwood. 

They will distribute free rain barrels in areas prone to floods and encourage car donations recycling with the Cars for Homes initiative.

Habitat will also highlight its two and a half decades of green building techniques through social media and presentations at their nonprofit ReStore.
