Westchester's Pataki Lags In Presidential Fundraising

GARRISON, N.Y. -- When it comes to fundraising, Gov. George Pataki's campaign is lagging behind his rivals.

Pataki, who lives in Garrison and previously served as mayor of Peekskill, is ranked last among all presidential candidates in money raised, having raised only $255,794 through June 30 according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to the FEC, 69 percent of Pataki's donations were for $2,700, the maximum allowed to any candidate. Pataki has spent 18.8 percent of his campaign's money, $48,174 and has $207,620 left, according to the FEC.
